Authentic Wuxia Choreography & Motion Capture
How S-Game partnered with renowned Hong Kong stunt coordinators and Shaolin masters
Cinematic Kung Fu in Real-Time
One of the defining triumphs of Phantom Blade Zero is its rejection of automated animation physics in favor of meticulously captured traditional wuxia martial forms.
S-Game enlisted legendary martial arts director Kenji Tanigaki (celebrated for his choreography on the Rurouni Kenshin film series and long-standing collaborations with Donnie Yen) alongside Shaolin double-sabre masters to lead the stunt and motion capture direction. Every sword flourish, balance correction, and parry deflection corresponds to genuine traditional martial arts disciplines, including Wing Chun, Baguazhang, and Shaolin double-sabre routines.
